I learned a lot from my coaches, starting with my father as well as Klaus Balkenhol, Holger Schmezer, Jean Bemelmans, Michael Rasch, Hans Riegler and the national coaches Monika Theodorescu and Jonny Hilberath.

But my true teachers have always been the horses.

I am fascinated by the constant challenge of solving problems and working very self-critically every day to make sure that you feel good, can give your best and that even the toughest lessons are easy for you.

That is the tremendous fascination of my job, but also my incentive. Because the best reward is a happy horse that trusts you and fights with you.
